HOW NEUFELD BUILDING MOVERS BEGAN…

Klaus Neufeld established Neufeld Building Movers in 1951 near Hague, Saskatchewan along with his sons Peter, Abe, John, Corney, and David. In 1969, Peter took over the house-moving business and operated it with hired help. The early 70s saw the emergence of ready-to- move homes (RTMs) in the area. This provided the majority of business and still does several years later.

WHERE NEUFELD BUILDING MOVERS IS TODAY ...

Peter’s son, Kerry, took over Neufeld Building Movers Inc. in 1994.  A few years later, Ben Fehr joined the company and in 1998 they partnered and expanded the business to include a full office administration staff and several fully equipped crews.  The company now has 25+ full-time employees.

WHAT NEUFELD BUILDING MOVERS CONSISTS OF…

The equipment inventory still consists of beams, dollies and hydraulic jacks but has also expanded to include Unified Jacking systems, remote dollies and steering dollies for specialty jobs.  RTM homes remain a large portion of the business, along with older existing homes, barns, and shop moves.  Today, the company moves an average of 300 homes per year, serving the areas of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.  Neufeld Building Movers Inc. has also expanded into the industrial sector with our newly amped up safety program.

We also have an extensive R&D department that is always looking to improve existing equipment and build bigger and better for the next project coming around the corner.  As we say here “we’ve never turned down a project because of size!”
